At least 46 people were reportedly killed in Umogidi village of Entekpa-Adoka district in Benue State’s Otukpo Local Government Area.
On Tuesday, the same village was invaded by armed Fulani herdsmen, who killed three people.

Bako Eje, the chairman of Otukpo LGA, whose son was also killed in the latest attack, told our correspondent on the phone that the armed herdsmen surrounded the village again on Wednesday evening, barely 24 hours after the first attack, and opened fire on the residents.
According to Eje, 46 corpses have been recovered as of Thursday, while many people are still missing.
