Kene Ogbodo, the AAC candidate for governor in Enugu, told journalists that the party has endorsed Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
He asserted that Sowore, who is both the presidential candidate and the chairman of the party, had shown himself to be anti-democratic, thereby preventing inclusiveness.
Ogbodo stated, “Obi may not have all the answers, but he can begin to heal the country’s wounds.
“He is the man who altered Nigeria’s political landscape by dismantling the APC and PDP.
“Action Congress members in Enugu endorse Peter Obi rather than our presidential candidate Sowore, who has no path to the presidency. We have discarded his ambition.

“Sowore is inexperienced and represents a one-man band; he should continue his activism.”
He announced that the remaining few hours would be dedicated to Obi’s election campaign.
“We ensure that undecided voters will support him by voting.”
“We have nothing to do with Atiku, nor do we back Tinubu.
“I am still running for governor, so we have nothing to do with the LP in the state, but we support Peter Gregory Obi for president,” he said.
