Osun Governor, Ademola Adeleke breaks silence on Supreme Court’s affirmation
In lieu of the supreme court’s jdugement affirming Ademola Adeleke as Osun Governor, Adeleke has stated that he will govern the state with the fear of God.
While reacting to the Supreme Court verdict affirming his election in his Ede residence, Adeleke praised the judiciary for upholding the Appeal Court’s decision.
“This is a historic landmark in the history of Osun politics,” he says. Today is the day that our God has set aside to assert his authority as the owner and giver of power.

Reacall that the Supreme Court upheld the election of Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the last governorship election in Osun State.
A five-man panel, in a judgment a moment ago, dismissed the appeal by former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) for lacking in merit.

The apex court affirmed the March 25 judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja which earlier upheld Adeleke’s victory.
The Appeal Court had, in its judgement, set aside an earlier judgment by the Osun Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which held in favour of Oyetola and sacked Adeleke.
