The Tribunal Nullified Election Of Senator Ademola Adeleke As Osun Governor and Declared Oyetola as Winner.
Governor of Osun, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has rejected the Friday morning tribunal ruling that fired him.
Ejes Gist News has earlier reported that the Election Petition Tribunal, presided over by Justice Tertse Kume, sacked Adeleke as governor of Osun for cases of overvoting.
In a statement released by his spokesperson Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke referred to the tribunal’s ruling as ” a miscarriage of justice” and vowed to appeal the decision to the Court of Appeal.

Adeleke criticised the resolution of the over-voting question in favour of former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola from his country home in Ede, calling it ” an unfair interpretation against the will of the majority of voters.”
He urged his supporters to remain calm, insisting that he is still the legitimate winner of the election held on July 16.
He said, “I urge our people to maintain their composure. We will appeal the ruling, and we are confident that justice will prevail. Assure our people that we will do everything in our power to maintain this widely acclaimed mandate.”
