AFCONQ 2025: No Food For 13 Hours – Boniface Reacts As Libyan Authorities Hold Super Eagles Hostage

Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface has voiced out his frustration after the Libyan authorities left Austin Eguavoen’s side stranded at the Al Abaq Airport for almost 13 hours after landing in Libya.

The chartered ValueJet aircraft was in a dangerous manner diverted to the small airport away from Benghazi just as the pilot was completing his approach to the Benghazi Airport on Sunday night .

The Libyan Football Federation failed to send any reception team or even vehicles to take the delegation members from the airport to their hotel, which is said to be 3 hours away in Benghazi.

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, had to make arrangements for separate vehicles for the team but the plan was unhinged by the diversion of the aircraft.

Reacting to the development, Boniface in a tweet on X on Monday, also called on CAF to do better.
