Anti-bomb experts take over Presidential Election Petition courtroom

Heavy Security Measures Taken Ahead of 2023 Presidential Election Verdict.

 

In anticipation of today’s judgment on disputes regarding the 2023 presidential election, anti-bomb experts from the Department of State Services (DSS) have assumed control of the courtroom where the verdict is expected to be delivered.

Approximately 12 security experts are meticulously searching the courtroom for any explosive devices and other potentially dangerous weapons. Upon their arrival, they ordered everyone present in the courtroom to vacate the premises in order to establish complete security control.

As of the latest report, lawyers, journalists, and accredited politicians who are authorized to enter the courtroom are patiently waiting outside while the security experts conduct their screening procedures.

 

Furthermore, comprehensive security measures have been implemented to prevent any potential threats to peace, both within and outside the Court of Appeal complex. Road access to the court has been blocked off to traffic.

Notably, among the politicians present is the immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege.
