Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, OFM, has disclosed the motive behind the assassins’ attempt to kill him.
Suleman claimed that certain ministers who were offended by his denunciations of the murders in Nigeria had handed him a bag of cash.
The pastor told his congregation that the preachers threatened to take legal action against him since he rejected their offer.
After I spoke out against the widespread killings, some ministers summoned me to Abuja, where they told me to take the money and stop speaking out. Suleman said: “They told me to take this and shut up.
Take the money or you go by these two, they yelled as they hurled an AK-47 and a newspaper into the air.
“I told them I did not get what they were saying. They threatened to ensure that I never again hold the microphone in this nation if I did not comply with their demands.

“I never realized what I said was actually a huge thing, I told them; now I want to start talking. I told you that you were more than welcome to bother yourself if you wanted to come get me because I would keep chatting, and I did.
In the Auchi region of Edo State a few days ago, Apostle Suleman was ambushed by unidentified gunmen.
Three police officers were among the seven fatalities during the incident.
In response, Suleman claimed to know those responsible for his death but would not reveal their identity.
Suleman also refuted claims made on social media that he performed rituals using the officers murdered in the attack.
Apostle Suleman has faced a number of problems throughout the years, ranging from rites to relationships with women.
