Delta: Appeal Court Affirms Oborevwori’s Victory, Dismisses APC Petition

The Appeal Court in Lagos has upheld the victory of Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, dismissing the petition filed by Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege as lacking in merit. Omo-Agege, an APC member, contested against Oborevwori, a PDP member, in the Delta State gubernatorial election.

The three-member panel of the appellate court delivered the judgment on Friday, supporting the Election Petition Tribunal’s earlier decision in Delta State. The PDP in Delta State extended its congratulations to Governor Oborevwori through a statement signed by the PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr Ifeanyi Osuoza.
