Arsenal vs Burnley: Arteta Concerned about Saka and Ødegaard Injuries Ahead of EPL Clash
Arsenal vs Burnley: Arteta sweats on Saka, Ødegaard injuries ahead of EPL clash.
Arsenal’s manager, Mikel Arteta, is facing a nerve-wracking situation as he awaits updates on the fitness of key players Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard ahead of the Premier League showdown against Burnley.
Saka, who was substituted late in the 2-0 Champions League victory over Sevilla due to a knock, is now in doubt for the upcoming clash. Despite being named in the England squad, his chances of featuring in Saturday’s match at the Emirates Stadium seem uncertain.

Arteta expressed his desire not to repeat the scenario from the last international break when Saka, after being called up for England duty, had to withdraw due to an injury sustained in a previous Arsenal game.
“Hopefully not. We want our players to play for their club and play for their national teams,” Arteta emphasized in his interaction with reporters. “B [Saka] had to leave the pitch because he was in quite a lot of pain. He didn’t train yesterday, and let’s see if he can make it tomorrow.”

Arsenal’s injury concerns don’t end with Saka, as defender Takehiro Tomiyasu was replaced during the Sevilla game, and club captain Martin Ødegaard has been absent from the last two matches.
Arteta provided an update on the overall injury situation, stating, “A few are still in contention. We need to give them 24 more hours to give them a chance to be involved in the game, but we won’t know anything until tomorrow.”
Regarding Ødegaard, Arteta mentioned, “He’s [Ødegaard] still racing [against the clock]. He’s trying everything that he can so let’s see. It’s a possibility.”
