PDP Chairman, 500 Stalwarts Join APC In Yobe
A total of 500 members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of Yobe have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), including the chairman of the Tarmuwa Local Government Area PDP. Bamaina Mafawu.
This information was provided by Mamman Mohammed, who serves as the spokesman for the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.

According to the release, important figures among the new inductees include Acting State Secretary Hassan Muhammad, Youth Leader Abdullahi Umar, and Women Leaders and Ward Leaders of the Local Government.
In the statement, Bamaina stated that the widespread defection of these stalwarts has deflated the PDP in the Tarmuwa Local Government Area and in the State in general.

According to him, those who had abandoned the PDP were reported as stating, “We were the strength of the party and we have all left, PDP is now non-existent and a shadow of itself in Tarmuwa.”
The individuals who defected to the APC gave their word that they would contribute to the party’s and its candidates’ success.

In his message to the defectors, Governor Buni urged them to maintain their loyalty to the party’s leaders and structures while assuring them that they will have access to the same rights and benefits as other party members.
