Atiku sends strong message to Governor Wike over his presidential campaign office
The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has declared that he will become Nigeria’s next leader in 2023, notwithstanding any intimidation from Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike.
Ejesgist.ng had earlier reported that the Rivers State government sealed off the campaign office of Atiku based on Executive Orders 21 and 22.
The office was said to have been shut for producing noisy political activities in residential areas without approval from the state government.

But reacting through his Special Assistant on Public Communications, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said the action will not deter him.
“Let me say this, whether the cock crows or not, the sun will rise. Atiku Abubakar will be president by the special grace of God,” Ejesgist.ng quotes Shaibu as saying.
Over the past months, five PDP governors — Wike, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu — have been at the forefront of calls for Iyorchia Ayu to resign as the party’s chairman.
The call for Ayu’s resignation, according to the PDP stakeholders, is that the party’s presidential candidate and national chairman can not be from the same region.
However, Ayu has maintained that he will not resign.
Amid the crisis, Wike and his allies pulled out of the PDP presidential campaign council.
