Ayu Is Our Man, He Worked For Tinubu – Umahi

 

David Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi State, claims that Iyorchia Ayu helped Bola Tinubu win the presidential election.

 

Recall that Ayu, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP is battling to keep his job after being suspended by the party and also a court order which stated that he should stop parading himself as PDP National Chairman.

In Rivers State, during the commissioning of the renovated community secondary school Okoro nu Odo, Umahi made the statement.

 

He was in Rivers on the invitation of Governor Nyesom Wike for the project commissioning in the state.

 

Umahi insisted that for Ayu to be incorporated into the upcoming administration, Tinubu needed to be aware that Ayu worked for him.

“I also want to thank the PDP Chairman who was suspended. He succeeded admirably because the APC would have had a difficult time if he had accepted to resign.

 

He is therefore our man, and I highly recommend him. And I’m pleading with Wike to end the suspension so that I can ask him to suspend a lot more of their leaders.

 

We applaud him because we love what he has accomplished. I believe that Asiwaju needs to be aware of his work for him and must also include him in the incoming administration, Umahi said.

 

This online newspaper had earlier reported that Ayu was suspended by the PDP branch in Benue State, an action he had called a futile exercise.
