Katsina Mosque Attack- 13 abducted as terrorists attack mosque
At least 13 worshipers have been kidnapped by terrorists following an attack on a mosque in Maigamji, Funtua LGA, Katsina.
Yesterday, the state’s police spokesperson, Gambo Isah, confirmed the development.

According to reports, a large group of terrorists stormed the mosque and opened fire on the worshippers, forcing them to flee for safety.
Isah claimed that the incident took place on Saturday night while the congregation was participating in the final prayer of the day.

Six of the 13 kidnapped people have been freed by security personnel, he added, adding that the terrorists shot at the imam and another worshipper who both received injuries.

It is true, the spokesperson said. There were two injuries. 13 people have been abducted so far, and we are still looking for them.
The combined efforts of the police vigilante have resulted in the rescue of six of the abducted people.
“The assault took place in Maigamji, Funtua LGA. It occurred during the final Ishai prayer that was being offered inside the mosque on Saturday night.

The chief imam and another person were shot at by the terrorists who attacked them inside the mosque.
They have both been taken to the Funtua General Hospital after suffering injuries. Their conditions are both stable.
Numerous communities in the northern region have been abandoned and their residents displaced as a result of the terrorists’ relentless attacks.
