Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya, information embellished Chief of Army Staff COAS), Wednesday stated that bandits and different criminals waging wars towards the federal government and undermining nationwide safety “have been sent to God to go and answer for their crimes.”

The Chief of Army Staff stated this shortly after he was embellished as a Lieutenant General by President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on the presidential villa, Abuja.
Addressing newsmen, the COAS appreciated Buhari for the arrogance reposed in him and pledged his unalloyed loyalty on behalf of the officers and males of the Nigerian Army.
He stated, “I wish to first most sincerely admire the President and commander in chief of the armed forces for the arrogance reposed in me and now being embellished Lieutenant General and Chief of Army Staff.
“And I wish to pledge my unalloyed loyalty on behalf of the officers and males of Nigerian Army and in addition proceed to do our highest to arrest this problem that now we have, notably insurgency, insecurity and different violent crimes.
“We are already getting successes. We will leverage on that, including our experience in this job and by the grace of God, we shall get there.”
When requested to ship a message to the bandits and different criminals parts in numerous elements of the nation, he added, “That’s what we have started doing already and many of them have been sent to God to go and answer for their crimes. And we will continue to do that.”
