Beyonce breaks record as all-time Grammy award winner

American singer ‘BeyonceGiselle Knowles-Carter now holds the record for the most Grammys won with her four victories at the recently concluded ceremony.

Beyonce has now surpassed the British-Hungarian conductor George Solti, whose record of 31 Grammys stood for more than two decades.

She has now received 88 GRAMMY nominations throughout her career, tying her husband Jay Z for the most nominations by an artist.

She is now tied with her husband Jay-Z as the artist with the most Grammy nominations in history, with 88, surpassing Sir Paul McCartney and Quincy Jones.

The pop icon, who was late to the ceremony due to traffic, won ‘Best Dance Recording’ for ‘Break My Soul,’ ‘Best Dance/Electronica Album’ for ‘Renaissance,’ ‘Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance’ for ‘Plastic off the Sofa,’ and ‘Best R&B Song’ for ‘CUFF IT.’Beyoncé ,Beyonce

Before she became famous, the 41-year-old thanked her family, including her late uncle Jonny, who helped make her stage outfits.

On ‘Renaissance,’ she previously stated that his struggle with HIV influenced her interest in dance music and its historical ties to the LGBTQ community.

Beyoncé paid special homage to the LGBTQ community, attributing to them the invention of the genre she celebrated on her historically-layered album, which also pays tribute to the pioneers of funk, soul, rap, house, and disco.
