Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu Urges Release, Citing Spiritual Consequences

Aloy Ejimakor, the Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has emphasized the spiritual implications of detaining Kanu.

Ejimakor believes that the continued incarceration of Kanu is a transgression and warns of potential divine consequences.

Quoting biblical passages to drive his point home, Ejimakor referenced Proverbs 14:34, stating, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but SIN is a reproach to any people.”

He further invoked Isaiah 59:2, asserting that “Your INIQUITIES have made a separation between you & your God & your sins have hidden his face from you.”

In his message, Ejimakor urged the Nigerian government to consider the gravity of their actions, stating that detaining Kanu is not only a legal matter but also a spiritual one.

He believes that releasing Kanu would be a step toward rectifying this perceived iniquity.

Nnamdi Kanu has been in detention since June 2021, following his re-arrest in Kenya and subsequent extradition to Nigeria.

Despite being discharged and acquitted of terrorism charges by an appeal court, the Nigerian government has not yet released him.
