Blame Nigerian Army for killings in Enugu, Rivers – IPOB

THE Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, yesterday accused the Nigerian Army’s 82 Division Enugu and 6 Division Port Harcourt of being behind the terrorist herdsmen killings in Enugu State.

Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu, wife of the late Biafran leader, made the call at the 11th Memorial Lecture of Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu this past weekend in Owerri. She argued that “there cannot be any valid reason for defying orders made by courts of competent jurisdiction in the land, as it would amount to self-help.”

Mrs. Ojukwu stated, “I implore the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. I demand his immediate and unconditional release from prison. This is a democracy. No nation that brazenly holds its citizens in captivity ever advances, develops, or instils patriotism in its citizens.

“No one can subdue the Igbo spirit. This is a truth that many individuals have refused to acknowledge. Ndigbo have always preferred to die with our heads held high rather than on our knees begging.

“Never before in Igbo history have we witnessed such brutality and wickedness as we do now.” Nigeria has become, in a sense, a crematorium. Our youth see nothing but an endless wasteland in their future. There is no Federal Government presence in the South East.”

Mrs. Ojukwu, after a thorough examination of the nation’s economy, stated that “it has irretrievably collapsed” and that life and property are neither guaranteed nor protected.

Her words: “The economic collapse is irreversible. The system failure has practically affected everything and everyone. The government can no longer guarantee the protection of life and property. The system failure has also affected all aspects of life, including commerce, agriculture, education, and trade.

“There are individuals who, from the comfort of their homes, routinely steal oil from our communities and profit handsomely.”

“2025th is close at hand. Our leaders must be held accountable for their deeds, misdeeds, actions, and inactions. It is time for payback.”

Mrs. Ojukwu praised Chief Ralph Uwazuruike for funding the annual event on his own and stated, “No government is assisting Chief Uwazuruike in this endeavor.

“As we commemorate the life of my late husband, we must also remember that no family in Igboland was unaffected by the 1 -month-long war. We will continue to remember all those who perished in this genocidal war.
