Kwankwaso supporters dump NNPP for APC in Kano
In Kano State on Sunday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) welcomed more defectors ahead of the country’s general elections in February and March.
Another group of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) members from the State’s Minjibir and Ungogo local government areas recently defected.

Many of the supporters who switched to the APC in the Minjibir and Ungogo areas were received by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
In front of thunderous applause from the crowd, the defecting supporters took off their symbolic Kwankwasiyya red caps and threw them over to the campaign podium.
They claimed to support the APC as the only group that could fulfill their desires for a better Nigeria and Kano State.

When the defectors arrived, Governor Ganduje welcomed them into the party and praised them for making such a wise choice.
He continued by praising the rally’s large turnout, calling it unprecedented.
In the upcoming general elections, Ganduje urged the populace to cast a large number of ballots in favor of every APC candidate.
