NLC Dump LP, Obi, Endorse Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate, and Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state governor, received unexpected support from the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Lagos State yesterday.
According to the leadership of both unions, the endorsement, which comes with only six weeks until the election, marks the first time they would publicly lend their support to candidates in any election.

Numerous workers attended a rally at the Police College in GRA, Lagos, showing their support.
At the APC Lagos West rally at Federal Government College Ijanikin, Governor Sanwo-Olu also received hundreds of political defectors from opposition parties.
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Muideen Akinsanya, Are Folorunsho Owolabi’s Democratic People’s Party (DPP), and Idowu Sesi Michael’s Action Alliance are the parties represented by the defectors.
An elated Sanwo-Olu thanked the locals for coming out in large numbers to support the ruling party candidates in the Badagry division while speaking to APC supporters at the Ijanikin rally.

In the upcoming elections, the governor expressed confidence that voters in Badagry would support APC, saying, “I know you will give the best votes to all our candidates.”
