Abayomi Oyebanji, the former Secretary to the Government of Ekiti State, was born on December 21, 1967, in lkogosi, Ekiti.

Educational Background of Biodun Oyebanji
He started his education at a Baptist primary school in Ikogosi, Ekiti. From 1979 to 1983, he attended Awo Community High School before transferring to C.A.C Grammar School in Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti State, and then the Federal School of Art and Science in Ondo State and the District Commercial Secondary School in Aramoko, Ekiti State.
In 1989, he earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Political Science from Ondo State University (now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti), and in 1992, he earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State (International Relations & Strategic Studies).
Career
Biodun Oyebanji began his professional career as a Lecturer at the University of Ado Ekiti’s Department of Political Science, where he worked for four years (1993-1997), before moving on to the defunct Omega Bank Plc (now Heritage Bank) as Manager, Treasury, and Financial Service until May 1999.
He is the chairman of Con Dois Farms LTD and works in agribusiness.
Oyebanji was a key member of the Committee for the Establishment of the State of Ekiti (1996). He also served as the Secretary of the Ekiti State Development Fund.
Oyebanji resigned as the state SSG on December 7, 2021, to devote himself fully to the governorship campaign.
