The National Assembly has joined calls to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari.
“I am angered and distressed, like all decent Nigerians, by the terror and brutality being inflicted upon the citizens of Borno, Yobe, Benue, Niger, Imo, and other parts of the country,” Tinubu said.
“Many people have criticised our military and security forces as a result of these attacks. This is something we must not do. Our armed forces are made up of brave men and women who put their life on the line to protect us.
“We are united in our support for them. The government must also continue to urge security forces to do everything possible to combat this threat. The lives of innocent Nigerians, as well as the country’s future development, could be on the line.
“We must never succumb to the terrifying trap of blaming one another as a country. We must unite against a common foe, regardless of area or faith. Discord can only invite defeat.
