Ebonyi APGA Governorship candidate escapes assassination
Professor Benard Ifeanyi Odoh, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Ebonyi State Chapter Governorship candidate for the 2023 elections, and his crew were ambushed by gunmen on Thursday night outside Rest House, Okpoto, Ishielu Local Government Area (LGA) in Ebonyi State.
The incident was attributed to Ebubeagu agents in a statement signed by Charles Otu, Director of Media and Publicity for the Odohzia Ebonyi Campaign Council and made accessible to ejesgist.ng.

According to him, an unmarked silver Sienna carrying around eight fully-armed militants and parked on the left side of the road started fire on Odoh’s convoy as soon as they spotted the lead pilot vehicle of the squad.
The statement read: “At least eight shots were fired at the pilot car before they roped off the vehicle of the governorship candidate and peppered his Prado SUV with gunfire.”

“During the incident, his driver was wounded and bled heavily. The ADC quickly maneuvered and drove off the car with all tyres flat till he reached Pele Filling station.”

“At least five people are presumed missing, and two have received critical gunshot wounds,”
