BRT Driver Who Crashed Into Train Arraigned For Manslaughter
On Tuesday, May 2, an Ikeja High Court arraigned Mr. Osibanjo Oluwaseun, the driver of the Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit that collided with a moving train at Ikeja and allegedly killed six people.
The state government has filed 16 counts of involuntary manslaughter and prior harm against the defendant, who was arraigned in front of Justice Oyindamola Ogala.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Babajide Martins, told the court that the BRT driver acted negligently by ignoring warning signals and colliding with an oncoming train, causing the deaths of the victims.
According to him, the defendant negligently caused severe injuries to ten other bus passengers.
