Chelsea confirm Frank Lampard as interim coach
Frank Lampard has been appointed interim manager of Chelsea until the end of the 2022/23 season.
The club announced Lampard’s second stint as manager on Thursday via their official Twitter account.

The club issued the following statement: “We are delighted to welcome Frank back to Stamford Bridge.” Frank is a member of the Premier League Hall of Fame and a club legend.
After Lampard’s appointment, Chelsea is considering former lovers as permanent managers.
“As we continue our exhaustive search for a permanent head coach, we want to provide the club and our fans with a clear and stable plan for the rest of the season.
“We want to maximise our chances of success, and Frank possesses all of the necessary characteristics and qualities to lead us to victory.
“On Saturday, we have an important game against Wolves, and then we will focus on our Champions League quarterfinal in Madrid the following week.”

Lampard will begin his official duties on Thursday, when he takes charge of the team’s training.
