Chimaroke Nnamani’s Ebeano Political Group Dumps PDP, Defects To APC
The Ebeano political group, a political organisation led by Chimaroke Nnamani, senator representing Enugu east, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement comes about a day after Nnamani, a former governor of Enugu, said he had resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The senator, who lost his reelection bid to Kelvin Chukwu, candidate of the Labour Party (LP), had been expelled from the PDP for alleged anti-party activities.
The lawmaker consistently expressed his support for Bola Tinubu, the president-elect.
In a statement on Tuesday, Emmanuel Okwor, chairman of the political group, said the alliance with the ruling party is to consolidate the partnership with the president-elect.
