Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price for Marketers.
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, bringing the price down to ₦970 per litre for oil marketers. This move marks a ₦20 reduction from the refinery’s previously announced ex-depot price of ₦990 earlier this month.
The company’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, confirmed the price cut in a statement on Sunday. According to Chiejina, the decision is part of Dangote Refinery’s efforts to appreciate Nigerians for their continuous support, which has played a key role in bringing the refinery project to fruition.
Chiejina further emphasized that the reduction is also a gesture of gratitude toward the Nigerian government for its support in fostering domestic enterprises. The refinery aims to complement government efforts to strengthen the nation’s economy and enhance its domestic fuel production capabilities.

The statement reassured the public that the quality of Dangote’s petroleum products would remain uncompromised. The refinery emphasized its commitment to producing environmentally friendly and sustainable products, ensuring that the petrol supplied meets the highest standards.
Dangote Refinery also highlighted its ongoing efforts to increase production and ensure a steady supply of petrol, aiming to eliminate concerns about fuel shortages. This price reduction will help marketers save ₦20 per litre on purchases from the refinery’s Lekki facility, making it a more affordable option for the distribution of petrol across the country.
