Doyin Okupe jailed for corruption.
Doyin Okupe, who served as the Director-General of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council, was found guilty of violating the Money Laundering Act and received a sentence of two and a half years in prison.

On Monday, the judge who was presiding over the case, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, found Okupe guilty of violating sections 16(1)&(2) of the Money Laundering Act and of accepting cash in excess of the threshold allowed under the Act without going through a financial institution. Okupe was found guilty of both of these offences.
