Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) have arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.
The arrest reportedly took place this morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, as Ajaero was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.

Sources indicate that the reason for the arrest remains unclear at the moment, though Ajaero has allegedly been handed over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) for further investigation.
