BREAKING: EndSARS Memorial: Nigeria Police Arrest, Lock Many Protesters In Black Maria (Video)

Some demonstrators commemorating the EndSARS memorial have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force, NPF.

In a viral video on social media, some of the arrested demonstrators said the peaceful march was disrupted when police began to shoot and release tear gas to break up the crowd.
As of the time of filing this report, the police have not issued an official statement about the incident.
The gathering is to mark the 4th anniversary of the October 20 EndSARS memorial.

Recall that Nigerian youths had in 2020 staged a nationwide protest with the hashtag #EndSARS against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, an allegedly notorious unit of the Nigeria Police with a long record of abuse on citizens.
On October 20 2020, the Nigerian military used live ammunition on the peaceful protesters who converged at the Lekki Tollgate in Lagos, leading to the massacre of unarmed youths.
Following the tragic incident, Tollgate has become a symbolic site for EndSARS protests.
Comrade Hassan Taiwo Soweto and 17 other activists have been arrested at the Lekki Toll Gate.
They were brutalized and are currently being detained in State CID Panti by the police for commemorating the memorial of the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre.
