FG appoints Brigadier-General Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed as new NYSC DG
Brigadier-General Yusha’u Dogara Ahmed was appointed as the new Director-General (DG) of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) by the Federal Government on Thursday.

Dogara Ahmed succeeds Mrs. Christy Uba, who was appointed the NYSC Overseer in November 2022.

Remember that President Buhari fired Brigadier-General Muhammad Fadah in the same month, which led to Uba’s appointment.
Fadah was charged with corruption, nepotism, and bias against religion.

On September 2, 2022, Fatima Abubakar, the chairwoman of the NYSC governing board, wrote a letter to Sunday Dare, the minister of sports and youth development, in which she listed numerous grievances against the DG.
The letter stated that some petitions against Fadah questioned his age and academic background. It also stated that the board had previously called and spoken to DG about the allegations, but that DG “failed to fulfill his promise to change.”
