Gunmen attack Imo INEC office kill one, say ‘no election in Biafra land’
Unknown group of assailants, who are thought to be members of the Eastern Security Network, or ESN, carried out an attack on the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Imo State, resulting in the death of one person.
According to information gathered by ejesgist.ng, the gunmen, who numbered approximately 20, traveled in two SUVs: one of which was a blue-colored Lexus, and the other was an ash-colored Highlander.

The assailants entered the INEC office at the Ahiazu Local Government Secretariat while dressed in ESN regalia.
Their goal was to find staff members who were distributing Permanent Voter Cards, also known as PVCs.
The deceased body of the guard who was killed has been brought to the morgue for examination.

Henry Okoye, the Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Imo State Police, responded to our correspondent’s inquiry by stating that he had not yet returned to active duty and requesting that she contact his predecessor, Mike Abatam, who declined to comment on the recent events.
