Oyibo Chukwu, the Labour Party candidate for the Enugu East Senatorial district, has been murdered.
A lawyer named Oyibo was reportedly attacked while returning from a campaign trip.

A senior member of the party has confirmed it and asked not to be quoted until the victim’s family has spoken.

According to reports, he was burned inside his vehicle, and three people were believed to be in the vehicle with him. However, it was unclear how many of the occupants were killed.
The details of the attack were still sketchy. However, a party source, who asked not to be named, confirmed the incident.
It was also reported that the state’s All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Uche Nnaji, was attacked near where Oyibo was killed.
