George Moghalu Resigns from APC.

 

Chief Dr. George Moghalu, a founding member and the first National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has officially resigned from the party. His resignation marks the end of a significant chapter in his political career, one that has been closely tied to the APC since its inception.

 

Moghalu made his decision public on Tuesday, in a letter addressed to the chairman of Uruagu Ward 1 in Nnewi, located in the Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The letter, dated August 26, 2024, and copied to both the Local Government Area and State Chairmen of the APC, outlined his reasons for leaving the party, which he attributed to personal considerations.

In his resignation letter, Moghalu expressed his desire to maintain the strong relationships he had built with his former party colleagues, emphasizing that his decision was personal. “It is my utmost desire and expectation that all of us will continue to maintain the cordial relationship that we have built together over the years,” he wrote.

Moghalu’s departure from the APC comes after a distinguished tenure as the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), where he played a crucial role in advancing the agency’s mandate.
