Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressives Party (APC), has assumed control of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party. This development confirms the widely circulated news of the resignation of the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, over the weekend.

Senator Adamu reportedly tendered his resignation alongside Senator Iyiola Omisore, the National Secretary. Subsequently, at approximately 10:40 am on Monday, the Deputy National Chairman, accompanied by a team of seven other NWC members, convened a meeting in his office.

It was observed that the Deputy National Chairman’s official vehicle was parked in the designated space assigned to the National Chairman. Later, around 11:20 am, Senator Iyiola Omisore, the National Secretary, arrived at the secretariat and joined the others for the meeting.

 

Senator Kyari was accompanied by Deputy National Chairman (South) Emma Enukwu, National Vice Chairman (North West) Salihu Lukman, National Vice Chairman (North East) Salihu Mustapha, National Vice Chairman (North Central) Muazu Bawa, National Vice Chairman (South West) Issacs Kekemeke, National Vice Chairman (South East) Ejoroma Arodiogu, and Deputy National Secretary Barrister Festus Fuanter.
