The Nigerian Military’s Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai executed a successful airstrike on a gathering of Boko Haram terrorists, eliminating key figures, including the dreaded Boko Haram Commander, Abu Asad.
The operation took place on November 24, 2023, and its success was confirmed in a statement released by Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the director of Public Relations for the Nigerian Airforce.
The targeted location, comprising three zinc structures surrounded by trees, served as a meeting point for over 100 heavily armed terrorists who were either planning a strategic meeting or preparing for a major assault on Nigerian troops.

Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, the Chief of the Air Staff, commended the Air Component Commander and his team for their exemplary performance.
He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with the Land Component to maintain momentum and keep the terrorists under constant pressure.
Air Marshal Abubakar stated, “We must continue to justify the trust and confidence the Federal Government and our people have bestowed on us by ensuring that we go all out in making life unbearable for these terrorists and criminals until they surrender or are completely eliminated.”
