Anxiety at NYSC orientation camp in Ise-Emure, Ekiti State, as hostel wall collapses.
Although Politics Nigeria could not obtain any reports of death, sources say many corps members were injured.
An eyewitness at the camp reported that the female section of the hostel collapsed on Friday morning. “The wall of one of the female hostels collapsed this morning. It was a bathroom wall, which fell in while they were preparing to bathe,” a source revealed toclearfixefs on condition of anonymity. “Luckily, people managed to respond and pull them from the rubble. They have been stabilized at the clinic for further medical care.”.

The corps members are currently undergoing the mandatory three-week orientation programme at the camp.
An NYSC official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the development, saying only two corps members were affected and stabilized at the clinic in the camp. He allayed the fears of the parents and guardians, assuring that everything was under control, as the corps members are not seriously affected.
