Ondo Assembly begins Deputy Governor’s Removal Process.

Ondo State, Nigeria – In a significant development, the Ondo State House of Assembly has commenced the process of removing the Deputy Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, citing allegations of gross misconduct during his tenure as the acting governor.

The Ondo Assembly, during its plenary session on Wednesday, made the decision to initiate this process. They accused the embattled deputy governor of engaging in acts of gross misconduct while serving as the acting governor of the state.

 

In light of these allegations, the House directed Mr. Benjamin Jaiyeola, the Clerk of the House, to formally communicate the accusations to Deputy Governor Aiyedatiwa. The petition outlining the allegations has garnered the signatures of nine out of the 26 Members of the House, underscoring the significance and seriousness of the matter.
