Three Victims Rescued As Police Uncover Kidnappers Den In Lagos
On Thursday night, officers from the Lagos State Police Command discovered a kidnapper’s hideout in the Ikorodu region of the state.
Ejes Gist News Nigeria gathered that kidnappers opened fire on Command agents who stormed the hideout.

During the exchange of gunfire, one of the kidnappers was killed.
The process resulted in the rescue of three victims.
SP Benjamin Hudenyin, the Command’s spokesman, stated that weapons and ammunition were recovered at the crime scene.
He added that the victims were being treated at a hospital that was not disclosed.
Meanwhile, In Edo State, three police officers were killed and one was injured during an attack by gunmen on Thursday, April 6.
The officers were ambushed near Agor Market on the Igarra-Auchi Road in Edo State between 5:30 and 6:00 a.m. as they were en route to their duty post

When they were attacked, the police officers were reportedly in a car while a colleague was behind them on a motorbike.
The officer riding a motorbike in pursuit engaged the assailants who fled into the bush with four of the police officer’s rifles after murdering them.
One of the attackers was also killed, while another was wounded by gunfire.
The suspect was transported to an undisclosed hospital for treatment and questioning.
Six rifles were reportedly recovered from the attackers.

Ibukun Dogo, the leader of the local vigilante group, stated that they tracked the attackers through blood stains to their hideout, where they discovered two of them with gunshot wounds.
“One was killed by gunfire, while the other was taken to the hospital by police.” We recovered four police rifles and two more in the area where we discovered the assailants.
“The suspects claimed to be from Okene, Kogi State, but we do not know whether their mission was armed robbery or kidnapping, nor what they intended to do with the weapons and ammunition.”
SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), stated that the command had not yet received the details of the attack when contacted.
