Senate approves Tinubu’s request
The Senate has approved the request of President Bola Tinubu to appoint twenty special advisers.
Tuesday, the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, read the president’s request aloud in the upper legislative chamber.

The president did not reveal the identities of the twenty special advisers in his request.
However, after the letter was read, the request was approved by the Senate.
This occurs after Tinubu was officially inaugurated as Nigeria’s sixteenth president of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, Opeyemi Isaac Ajewole, a professor at the University of Ibadan, was allegedly murdered by assassins.

Olukayode Ogunsanwo, a friend of the deceased, confirmed the death of the don to newsmen on Tuesday.
The friend, who was sober, simply responded, “Yes. It is valid. It is accurate.
Until his death, Ajewole was a lecturer in the university’s Department of Forest Resources Management.
