has approved the appointment of Barrister as Chief of Staff by the Senate President.

 

A statement from the Media Unit in the Office of the Senate President also revealed that Dr. has been appointed as Deputy Chief of Staff.

 

Chief Okonkwo, who attended Dennìs Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha, is an alumni of the University of Nigeria, Enugu campus, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B. Hons. B.L).

He hails from Ojoto in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, which is situated in the South East region of Nigeria. With over two decades of experience as a corporate lawyer and astute politician, he contested for a senatorial position on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019. Prior to his appointment, Chief Okonkwo served as the CEO of Chinto Technologies Limited, an ICT and telecommunications company.

On the other hand, Dr. (PhD), the Deputy Chief of Staff, comes from Ika Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. He is an alumnus of the University of Calabar and has served as the Deputy Director General of the Godswill Akpabio Senatorial Campaign Organisation.

Dr. Enyiekere has an impressive background, having previously held positions such as a two-term Executive Chairman of Ika Local Government Area, Senior Special Assistant to the Akwa Ibom State Government on Boundaries and Conflict Resolutions, Board Member of the Akwa Ibom State Road Maintenance Agency, and Senatorial Aspirant for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
