President Bola Tinubu has given his nod to the appointment of several qualified individuals to serve on the Board of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

The presidency disclosed this appointment in a statement released on Friday, signed by the president’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
The appointees to the NAICOM Board include Ms. Halima Kyari as Chairperson, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin as Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Olawoye Gam-Ikon as Deputy Commissioner for Technical Operations, and Dr. Usman Ankara Jimada as Deputy Commissioner for Finance & Administration. Additionally, Dr. Miriam Kene Kachikwu, Mr. Adeniyi Olusegun Fabikun, and Mr. Umar Khalifa Mohammed were appointed as Members.
President Tinubu also sanctioned the appointment of seven individuals to the Board of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Among them are Mr. Mairiga Katuka as Chairman of the Board, Mr. Emomotimi Agama as Director-General, Frana Chukwuogor as Executive Commissioner for Legal and Enforcement, and Mr. Bola Ajomale as Executive Commissioner for Operations.

Also appointed are Mrs. Samiya Usman as Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services, Mr. Lekan Belo, and Mr. Kasimu Kurfi as Non-Executive Commissioners.
