Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, has reportedly brought the total number of his personal aides to 200,000.

The announcement was made by the Governor on Friday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Omagwa in the Ikwerre Local Government Area.
The event was held in conjunction with the inauguration of the final batch of the 100,000 appointees.

He explained that he made the decision to increase the number in order to accommodate the growing number of people who were willing to work for him.

The governor, who explained that the action was a component of the stomach infrastructure that he had promised the state, requested that the chairmen of the local governments return to their spheres of influence and locate further candidates for appointment.
