CBN Debunks Plan To Shut Down Financial Transactions Over Elections
The Central Bank of Nigeria has dispelled rumors that financial transactions will be suspended between February 23 and February 27, inclusive.

This information was revealed on Wednesday via the CBN’s Instagram account with the caption “Please be wary of fake news!”
According to the circular debunked by the CBN, the transaction shutdown was intended to prevent politicians from purchasing votes.
The circular stated that the CBN would suspend financial transactions between February 23 and February 27. Go stock your shelves.

“However you can get money between today and tomorrow, get it and keep it. Also, if you want to make a transfer, do it between today and tomorrow.
“According to the information I’ve heard, the bank network will be down from Thursday to Sunday or Monday, preventing politicians from transferring money to voters. Because the next five days will be difficult, please.”
However, the CBN debunked the report tagging it as “Fake News”
