The Central Bank of Nigeria, also known as the CBN, has disclosed information regarding the design and placement of the security features that are included in the new naira banknotes in an effort to reduce the likelihood that Nigerians will become victims of counterfeiters.

Meanwhile Godwin Emefiele has rejected the call of House of Representatives to explain the Cash Withdrawal Limit.
The CBN Governor stated through his representatives that he was out of the country for an official assignment.

He pleaded with the members of the House of Representatives that he would appear before them upon return.
It should be recalled that the lawmakers twice delayed the briefing because Mr. Emefiele was out of the country.
The House Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, responded to the letter by stating that Godwin Emefiele must inform the House of his justification for travelling abroad for two weeks.
The CBN governor was required to show up in person or send a deputy governor in his place, he insisted.
