Champions League draw 2023/24 date, time .
The pots for the Champions League group stage draw on Thursday have been confirmed. Antwerp, FC Copenhagen, and PSV Eindhoven secured the last three spots for this season’s competition.
This will mark the final group draw, as the UCL will undergo changes next season, becoming a 36-team league.
As reigning champions, Manchester City is in Pot 1 along with Sevilla, the UEFA Europa League winners. Pot 1 also includes champions from the top six leagues and Feyenoord, promoted from Pot 3 due to their Eredivisie victory, alongside Manchester City’s Premier League win.
Pots 2-4 are determined by UEFA’s five-year coefficient score. Notably, Newcastle United finds themselves in Pot 4, making their first European appearance in 11 seasons. This potentially sets them up for a challenging return against teams like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, and AC Milan.
The group stage draw is scheduled for Thursday at 5 p.m. UK / midday ET. The first fixtures are set for September 19 and 20, with the full schedule likely to be revealed by Saturday.
Each pot will contribute one team to a group, and teams from the same national association won’t be placed together.
The season’s final will be hosted at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, June 1, 2024
