The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, even approached a U.S. court to seek access to Tinubu’s credentials from Chicago State University.
However, in a video clip that has been circulating on social media, Durojaiye Ogunsanya, during an interview with TVC News, confirmed that both he and President Tinubu graduated from the University in 1979 and were in the same class.
Ogunsanya stated, “We met in the school, Chicago State University, and we were in the same department, College of Accounting Business and Administrative, with a major in Accounting, and we were in the same class together, and we graduated.
He went on to provide further details, saying, “He did attend the University, and he graduated in 1979, in the same year as I did. I am here to testify that he did attend the University, and he was a good student. I’m here with my Diploma, for the world to see. We graduated together from the university; I just want to set the record straight not for any gain or favor.”
This statement by Ogunsanya aims to provide clarity regarding President Tinubu’s attendance at Chicago State University and his graduation in 1979, dispelling doubts about his educational history.
As the controversy continues to unfold, this affirmation from a fellow graduate adds a new perspective to the ongoing debate about the President’s academic qualifications.
