Oshiomhole’s former Commissioner dumps APC
Mr. Lucky James, a former commissioner in Comrade Adams Oshiomhole’s administration as governor of Edo State and a close ally from the same Ward, has left the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a letter dated August 4, 2022 and addressed to the Ward 10 Chairman of the APC in the Etsako West local government area, it is written,
“I write this Letter from a place of deep and wide thought, resolve, and consultations on different strata.
After carefully weighing all of my sincere and laboured hopes, experiences, sacrifices, and contributions to Action Congress, Action Congress of Nigeria, and now All Progressive Congress over the years, I, Chlef Lucky James, would like to tender my resignation as an APC member.
“By this resignation, I renounce all affiliation with the party, including its insignia, memorabilia, and associations.
“However, this decision was unavoidably made based on a number of unfavourable elements that have dogged the party for years, particularly because they unfairly affect me and my throngs of supporters.
Remember that I have been a dedicated and active member of the party since its inception. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the party for allowing me to serve in a variety of capacities.
“To my supporters all over the state, I kindly ask that they accept this tough decision because it is preferable to be where you are valued and hopeful. Please continue to uphold the law.

“My time in the party has led me to realize that my definition of justice and fairness and that of the party’s differ.
The party’s values are in direct opposition to my belief in justice, fairness, equity, and the reward of hard work and sacrifice.
Although he remained silent regarding his next move, it was believed that he would march on to the PDP.
