Court Steps Down Obi’s Petition Against Tinubu For 10minutes
The Presidential Election Petition Court had to suspend hearings for ten minutes due to the petition filed by Mr. Peter Obi and the Labour Party against President Bola Tinubu’s election.
The court dismissed the petition as a result of the inadequate schedule of documents sought to establish the allegations of election fraud during the presidential election.

Upon resuming the hearing, the court discovered that the documents had not been scheduled as ordered.
During the processing of the documents from the 23 Local Government Areas of Benue State, discrepancies were discovered.
Counsel for Obi and the Party, Emeka Okpoko, attempted to use unfiled documents to conduct the proceedings, but the move was deemed illegal.

The court reduced the petition hearing time to 10 minutes and instructed the legal team to refile the schedule of documents in accordance with the provisions of the pre-hearing report.
The presidential candidate and the vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and Datti Baba- Ahmed, are present in court.
The court has resumed sitting.
