Deputy Police Commissioner Found Dead in Apparent Suicide.
A Deputy Commissioner of Police serving with the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Alagbon, Lagos State, Gbolahan Oyedemi, reportedly dies by suicide on Monday in his private house in his hometown, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
According to Ejes Gist News, Oyedemi served as the Aide-de-Camp to the late former Governor of the state, Adebayo Alao-Akala, during his 11-month tenure as the de facto governor in 2006.

A source close to the family informed our correspondent on Tuesday in Ibadan, the state capital, that Oyedemi, who typically visited his hometown during Easter celebrations, instructed his aides over the weekend to go to their respective towns to celebrate with their families.

The source stated, “Yes, he took his own life. His body was found hanging in his house yesterday (Monday). He lives alone, and he usually comes home for Easter celebrations. This time, he told his aides to go and celebrate with their family members in their various homes. Only God knows what could have prompted him to take his own life”
Efforts to reach the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, for comment were unsuccessful, as his mobile number was unreachable.
