According to him, he is fully in support of Tinubu’s presidential bid and he is strongly urging them to gather their support for him as the election draws nearer.
Ejesgist News understands that the president made the clarification on Monday during the APC campaign rally in Pantami stadium in Gombe State.
President Buhari explained to the people of Gombe State that they should not be deceived by what they heard because Tinubu would deliver more dividends of democracy if he emerges as president.
The president, who was represented at the event by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Professor Isa Pantami, further noted that his administration has approved over 65% of projects in Gombe State and that if Tinubu emerges as the winner, he would ensure the gainful exploration of the Kolmani oil field in the state.
The president advanced that “I want to remind you of the Federal Government approved projects in Gombe which are over 60 – 65% from taking over of Gombe Airport, to deliberate interventions in agriculture. People should reciprocate the support by voting for APC.
He said:
“I’m fully with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 100% Don’t listen to lies.”
Also speaking at the event was the APC flag bearer, who appealed for the support of the people and also canvassed for votes for the party’s governorship candidate in the state, saying he will work in collaboration with him when he wins.
It was gathered that the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, who was as well present at the campaign event, described the 16 years of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as “reckless,” and not be repeated again.
Lawan remarked that “They refused to look at Kolmani, there was Boko Haram during their reign.
